About the Founder

Dana Shergill

Kinky Wellness Educator

Meet Dana Shergill, the founder and driving force behind Kinky Wellness, and passionate Kinky Wellness Educator. From a young age, Dana thrived on rough Play, but as she grew older, societal norms made it clear that what was acceptable in childhood was no longer "appropriate" for a "nice young lady." During her adolescence, Dana discovered alternative lifestyles and realized that sex is far more than just mechanical movements. She uncovered the deeper truth: real power lies in the mental and emotional aspects of connection—areas constantly overlooked in traditional sex education. Fueled by this insight, Dana created a step-by-step framework that transforms intimacy into a holistic, playful, self-expansive journey. Through her work, she reveals how Kinky Wellness serves as a powerful, healthy outlet for Aggression, Imagination, and Attention (#AIA)—three critical forces that must be intentionally nurtured for true self-development to occur. She believes that everyone falls somewhere on the Kinky Wellness spectrum, and that embracing this part of ourselves is essential for growth, healing, and unaplogetic personal exploration. Dana’s approachable, bold, and fun teaching style inspires others to embrace a more vibrant, liberated version of themselves. She has hosted both in-person and online Kinky Wellness workshops, led seminar presentations at wellness conventions, and continues to bring experts together through her podcast, The Partition: Home of Kinky Wellness on Spotify. Dana’s professional background is rich and diverse, including yoga teacher training, private and public kink education, and ongoing studies in psychology and coaching. Through her podcast, Dana continues to collaborate with somatic healers, therapists, sexual grief specialists, naturopaths, and professional Doms, ensuring her work remains deeply informed, inclusive, and ever-evolving. Dana’s contributions to the field have been recognized in multiple media outlets, including features in the Toronto Sun, Vancouver Sun, and Sudbury Sun. When she's not creating transformational spaces for playful exploration and healing, you can usually find Dana dancing like no one’s watching (even when everyone is) or indulging her love of Project Runway and Gordon Ramsay reruns. If you're curious to learn more, collaborate, or invite Dana to speak, she'd love to hear from you! Connect at info@kinkywellness.ca or follow @kinky_wellness for more updates.
